Yep,Candy-Candace have told you the definition of fracking. But as far as I know, it is harmful and dangerous for the environment and human health despite the big economic profits. Currently, it is forbiden in some states of United States. But it is allowed in Penn State.

Hydraulic fracturing is the propagation of fractures in a rock layer caused by the presence of a pressurized fluid. Some hydraulic fractures form naturally, as in the case of veins or dikes, and are a means by which gas and petroleum from source rocks may migrate to reservoir rocks. Induced hydraulic fracturing or hydrofracking, commonly known as fracking, is a technique used to release petroleum, natural gas (including shale gas, tight gas and coal seam gas), or other substances for extraction. This type of fracturing creates fractures from a wellbore drilled into reservoir rock formations. But it can also mean: Frak is a fictional version of "fuck," "shit" or "damn" first used (with the spelling "frack") in the original Battlestar Galactica series. It continues to be used throughout different versions of the franchise as an expletive. hoped it helped sorry about the bad language
